Our Basic Beliefs
We believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration and infallibility of the Scriptures. II Timothy 3:16.
We preach and teach from the KJV which we believe is God's written Word to the English-speaking people.
We believe in the trinity of the Godhead, existent in three Persons, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, I John 5:7.
We believe that Jesus Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin and is 100% God and 100% man, Isaiah 7:14 and Matthew 1:21.
We believe that man was created in the image of God and willfully sinned, thereby bringing about physical and spiritual death. Thus, all human beings are born with a sin nature, needing to be saved, Genesis 1:27, Romans 5:12.
We believe that the Lord Jesus died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for all who believe in Him with a true heart, John 1:29, Hebrews 9:22-26.
We believe in the bodily resurrection, bodily ascension into Heaven and that He is there presently interceding for the saints of God. Acts 1:9-11.
We believe in the blessed hope which is personal, pre-millennial, and pre-tribulational. We also believe in the imminent return of the Lord Jesus for the church in which the dead in Christ and the saints shall be caught up to meet Him, Titus 2:13 and I Thessalonians 4:13-17.
We believe that we receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith and become born again children of God, Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:13.
We believe in a bodily resurrection both of the lost and the saved: the saved into everlasting Heaven and the lost into everlasting hell, Matthew 25:46, I Corinthians 15:51-57, Revelation 20:15.
We believe the church consists of a body of born again, baptized believers, I Corinthians 12:18-24.
We believe the local church is to be self-governed under the direction of the pastor as led by the Holy Spirit. Anything with two heads is deformed, Hebrews 13:17, Ephesians 5:24-32.
We believe Scriptural baptism is by single immersion of only born again people, This is an outward sign of an inward change, following the example of our Lord which represents His death, burial and resurrection, Acts 8:36-38, Matthew 3:13-16.
Salvation cannot be bought or earned in any way, shape, form or fashion. It is by faith in the death, shed blood and resurrection of the Lord Jesus, plus or minus nothing, Titus 3:5, Ephesians 2:8-9, John 3:16.
We believe that Satan is a personal created being. He was originally created as the anointed cherub, Lucifer, but fell because of his pride. He is now called Satan and is a defeated foe, Isaiah 14:12-15. Luke 10:18.
We believe in the priesthood of all believers with Christ as our Intercessor. We need no human intervention, I Timothy 3:12, Revelation 1:5-6.
